Tony Dickinson is a multi-instrumentalist, composer and producer from Denver, CO. Graduating top of his class with his Recording Arts degree from the University of Colorado, Denver, Tony is quickly making his mark in the industry. Currently a session musician and composer for Warner/Chappell production music, his playing and writing has been featured on ESPN, ABC, CBS, Univision, and Judge Judy. You can hear his playing on the FIFA World Cup 2014 ESPN theme song, and the “Grantland Basketball Hour” show music. Having experience in every genre of music, Tony’s range of abilities is endless, from writing over-the-top symphonic metal to playing locally with hip hop groups, He has also performed and recorded with Howard Drossin, Nobuo Uematsu and wrote & performed Jeff Scott Soto’s lead single “The Fall” from the album “Inside the Vertigo” by his project SOTO.
You can also hear some of Tony’s music on the video game “Bionic Commando: Rearmed 2″ and on the second album of Nobuo Uematsu’s band “Earthbound Papas.” Tony plays lead fretless bass on the track “Interlude ~ Anthony’s Dream.” The upcoming Impact Soundworks sample library “Shreddage Bass 2″ was recorded by Tony.
Tony is also known for his video game remixes under the alias “Prince uf Darkness.” Contrary to popular belief, Tony does not consider himself to be satan, instead the nickname is a tribute to his favorite metal band Megadeth. Tony is currently considering adding an umlaut to “uf” to increase the absurdity.
