Dream Theater song #3! Paired with my Sea of Lies cover, this will probably be the last of the prog metal covers for a while. There’s a lot more non-metal stuff that I’d love to take care of.

Alright, so much like The Dark Eternal Night, which I uploaded on the same day, I’ve intended on doing this song for a long time, plus I had been getting a bunch of requests for it. Well here it is finally, hope you all enjoy.

First Primus cover. Woohoo. I know many of you will potentially ask me to cover Jerry Was a Race Car Driver and/or Tommy the Cat, and I’m unsure whether I will because I don’t have a fretless 6-string, and doing it on a fretted bass makes it sound pretty stupid.

Well, let’s be honest, Megadeth doesn’t always have spectacularly difficult basslines, and most of the time the difficult ones are just doubling the guitars, which I don’t necessarily want to do for a whole video in my channel.

So I’ve taken some of my favorite moments from the Megadeth catalogue and compiled them all into one video!

I doubt any of you have heard of Jigawattica unless you lived in New York. Jigawattica was a band that my bass teacher from 6 years ago, Jed Ostrom, had when he lived in New York.

It was short lived, but nevertheless, a really good band. Jed help me get on track with my bass playing, so this is my tribute to him.

The second Red Hot Chili Peppers video! When I made Around the World, I was actually planning on doing this, but decided to go the other way. Not to mention that this is my favorite RHCP song.

I’ll be frank [Alright, can I still be Garth?]. This song sucks. It’s a good song, but hot damn, my fingers were like pudding by the time I finished the song.

And normally I wouldn’t excuse myself for all the mistakes, but I was even happy to make it to the end with out totally dropping the ball.

I did my best

And like I said, I was just happy to play that last note.
